Hello, I'm Fay.

I'm a fashion design student at ASU FIDM, graduating in December 2026. I'm passionate about storytelling through fashion, with a strong focus on conceptualization, fashion illustration, and sustainable design. I love creating pieces that feel expressive, thoughtful, and rooted in a story.

How I work

My collections move through the same stages, and I keep every step: the research, the paintings, the dye baths, the toiles. Select a stage to see it inside a collection.

  1. 01 Story Every collection starts with something personal: my mother's lullaby songbook, or prayer flags at a Buddhist stupa.
  2. 02 Research I interview, visit, and collect. My notebooks mix my own research with photos from my uncle in Thailand.
  3. 03 Paint and collage I paint while I listen, then cut the paintings into collages. I made 50 for my capstone.
  4. 04 Color When I can, I make my own color: black beans, beets, marigold, and chlorophyll.
  5. 05 Sketch and flats Illustrations by hand, and technical flats in Adobe Illustrator.
  6. 06 Toile I drape and build toiles until the silhouette says what the story needs.
  7. 07 Finished look The garment, finally on the body.

Très Bien Ensemble

This collection is inspired by my mother’s lullaby songbook and translates emotional memory into paintings. Combining my art with fashion, it expresses the beauty of a mother’s care and the transition into independence through avant-garde design, mixing playful moments of childhood with powerful femininity. The collection is still in progress and will be shown at the ASU FIDM fashion show.

Weathered Prayers

Weathered Prayers reflects my evolving journey with Buddhism, drawing inspiration from female Buddhas and from what I imagine myself wearing upon reaching nirvana. Created with natural dyes, the garments transform like prayer flags weathered by time in the sun, mirroring the way my Buddhist path has unfolded and how nature has been a part of that path.
